Role: Festival Treasurer
Lodge: Progress 8259, Cuneceastre Chapter and Cestria Mark
I first moved to the North east in 1974 to take a post as Chief Accountant in Consett, staying until 1990 by which time I was Finance Director. My career took me back to Grimsby in 1997 working in the shipping sector.
It was in 2000 when an old friend proposed me into Apollo Lodge in Cleethorpes. Shortly after becoming a Master Mason I moved back to the north east to become Finance Director of a small firm of Geotechnical Engineers which was to become a group of three companies by the time I retired in 2016.
Following a short period as a nomadic mason, I joined Lodge of Progress 8259 in 2004. Shortly after I was asked to stand in for the treasurer who was ill. I continued for nine years and was then asked to be Charity Steward, a post I still hold.
I am also a member of Cuneceastre Chapter and Cestria Mark.
